I praise God for all He has done and all He will do through you, my partners, and me this summer as I spend July 7-Sept. 3 in Uganda. There is also a possibility that I will travel into Kenya. I’ll teach at a pastor’s conference in Uganda. As I travel to the villages, I’ll continue to teach, show the Jesus film and give Bibles to pastors. The need for the Word of God is great, so I’ll continue giving the Books of Hope and Proclaimers to churches, schools and orphanages.
This summer the Lord has impressed upon me to assist Joy Orphanage on Sigulu Island with some milk cows. In the past your support has enabled me to help with food, school uniforms and school supplies for these children. Patrick, the head of my island team, is the founder of the orphanage. There are 75 children that are full orphans (both parents are dead) and 30 children that are half orphans (one parent is dead). Patrick took in these children and started a school for them. He must feed, clothe and educate over 100 kids plus his own 6 children. I’ve worked with Patrick for many years and he is an awesome man of God with a heart for the children and the lost. After much discussion, we decided that the best way to help the children is through the purchase of some milk cows. The children can drink the milk and the excess can be sold in Patrick’s store so he can buy other things the children need. Since Patrick owns grazing acreage on the island and the lake provides the water, the cows seem like the best animal. If you would like to partner with me in this project the cost of a mature milk cow is $250 and our goal is to purchase 4-6 cows.
I appreciate you so much. Thank you for partnering with me through your friendship, love, prayers and resources. When you stand before His throne, you will receive rewards for the advancement of His Kingdom in Uganda through our team work.
In His Service,
Sandy
