Hello team,

Thank you for your prayers. I arrived safely at my home in San Antonio last night. Although there was a 2.5 hour delay in leaving Uganda, I was able to make all my connecting flights.
I had nice aisle seats and pleasant people sitting next to me. The time between flights was 3 hours, which was great. All my luggage arrived with me. Thank you for your prayers.

You, the prayer/financial support team together with the Ugandan teams accomplished the following through the power of the Holy Spirit.

26 village churches visited
3000+ taught
7000+ viewed Jesus film
1500+ indicated they received Christ
5013 Books of Hope given
256 Bibles given
600 salvation bead bracelets given
6 New Testament Proclaimers given (audio Bible)
150 pastors taught in a two day conference

Thank you for partnering with me. May the Lord bless you abundantly.

I will be going with a team to Argentina March 19-28. I would appreciate your prayer coverage for this mission trip. I appreciate your prayers and understand that you made need a rest from praying for another mission trip so soon. So, if you would like me to remove you from the email list, please let me know.

I would like to pray for you and your family, so email me your prayer requests. Even if you don’t have a prayer request, I would enjoy hearing from you.

Thank you again.

In His Service,
Sandy

Faithful ones,

Yesterday we went to our last church. Pastor David started Grace Church less than two years ago and there were at least 100 people present for church. They were so happy to receive Bibles, Books of Hope and the Proclaimer. We weren’t able to show the film but when they get a permanent structure, I plan to return. If anyone wants to build a church in Uganda, let me know.

Today I’ve been cleaning things, organizing what I will leave behind and packing my suitcases.
In the morning Peter will drive me to the airport.

Please pray for travel safety and favor. Here are the particulars.

leave Entebbe at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday night (1:50 p.m. US time)
arrive Amsterdam 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning (Tues. 8:30 p.m. US time)
leave Amsterdam at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday morning (1:40 a.m. US time)
arrive Atlanta at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, (US time)
leave Atlanta at 5:45 p.m.
arrive San Antonio at 7:36 p.m. Wednesday evening

Thank you for praying. It has been an awesome 7 weeks. After I get home, I’ll send a summary report.

May the Lord bless you abundantly for your faithfulness to pray. May God get all the glory and honor and praise for what He has done through us.

In His Service,
Sandy

Faithful prayer warriors,

Thank you for your prayers. The two day pastors’ conference has been awesome. The Holy Spirit showed up and the pastors were blessed with God’s Word, God’s presence and new Bibles. Glory to God!

Tomorrow I go to my last church before leaving for the US on Tuesday. I’m really tired and so is the team. Please continue to pray for our energy, safety and health.

Thank you. You are such an important part of what is happening here. Also thank you to all of you who gave money for me to buy the Bibles. The pastors send their appreciation and we prayed for you today. We prayed that the Lord would bless you and multiple your seed back to you 100 fold.

In His Service,
Sandy

Hello faithful ones,

Thank you for your prayers.

Praises:

We have visited two churches in the last two days. About 350 people saw the film and 28 got saved. Praise God! I taught about 200 total, gave out 4 Bibles,
80 Wordless Books and 300 Books of Hope. Hallelujah!

Thank you for praying about the generator. It has worked perfectly for the last two weeks. Glory!

Thank you for praying. Ibra’s children are well as is the team.

Although we’ve often had to push the truck to get it started, we’ve been able to travel to our destination and back each day.

Prayer requests:

Two days pastor’s conference
Holy Spirit to lead my teaching
That we leave by 8 a.m. each morning for the two hour drive.
Safety as we travel back in the evenings, possibly after dark
Stamina and health of the team

You are a blessing to me. Your faithfulness will be rewarded by the Lord.

Love from your sister in Christ,
Sandy

Greetings faithful ones,

Thank you for praying for Ibra’s twins. They have completed their treatments and are recovering. Ibra is getting to sleep at night! Thank you, Jesus.

Yesterday and today we went to churches. Sunday two people got saved and today 200 people got saved! Glory to God! Thank you for continuing to pray for the salvation of souls and the equipping of the saints.

I talked to Pastor Michael of Kato Baptist Church this morning and he said 42 new believers joined his church yesterday as a result of the film, the Bibles, the bracelets, the teaching and the Proclaimer. Please spend some prayer time giving God praise and honor for what He is doing here in Uganda.

Greetings to you in the name of Jesus,

Today was a much needed day of rest after 8 days of going to churches. God blessed me with rain this morning and cool temperatures all day. Thank you, Jesus.

Yesterday, we went to a SOK church and school built in memory of Dale Tarpenning. Buyiiro Lutheran Church and St. Martha’s School. There were about 150 kids and 50 adults present for the teaching and the film. About a dozen indicated they got saved today. Glory to God!

Please pray for Ibra’s twins. Both are now very sick and receiving daily treatments at the medical clinic in town. I think the medicine for malaria gave them the vomiting and diarrhea which results in dehydration. They are receiving medication through IV’s.

I’ll be leaving Uganda in 10 days so the next 8 days we will be continuing with the ministry. Please pray for stamina for the team.

Thank you for your faithfulness to pray and be a part of God’s work here.

In His Service,
Sandy

Thank you for praying. The last two days have been wonderful. Both days I’ve taught at churches and showed the film. We have given Bibles and the Books of Hope. People are so happy to receive these gifts of the Word of God.

The weather has been pleasant and the Lord has given us energy to continue the ministry. All the equipment is working great! Thank you for praying about the generator. It is staying steady each day. Pastor Michael has blessed us as he has accompanied us to the churches. Today is our last day to work with him and I will miss him.

The most urgent prayer request is for Ibra’s 14 month old baby girl who was admitted into a medical clinic this morning. She has recently been treated for malaria but now has vomiting and direahea. They had her on an IV today and she will get another tomorrow. Ibra and his wife got no sleep last night because of the baby. He drove us to the church today and then took a nap during the film. His wife stayed with the baby at the clinic. Keep them and their 6 children in your prayers.

Sandy

Greetings to my Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

The last two days have been awesome. The churches also had schools by them so I have been teaching hundreds of children along with the adults. All the people couldn’t fit into the church today, so we showed the film twice. The weather has been a bit cooler which has made the churches less hot during the teaching and film.

My driver, Ibra, is a great man and an excellent driver. He takes the rough roads slowly so I don’t feel like I’ve been on the Rattler Roller Coaster for hours! Ken is doing a great job translating. He will make an excellent evangelist/preacher! Pastor Michael has been helping us each day so that there are people present for our visit. He is a delightful man. I’m blessed to be able to work with him for several days.

Praises: salvation of many souls; encouragement and discipleship of the saints; good health; good weather; good team members. Thank you, for your prayers.

Requests: Continue to pray for the above.

Thank you, my faithful prayer warriors. The ministry is much easier because of your prayers.

In His Service
Sandy

Happy Valentine’s Day to my loyal prayer warriors,

Yesterday and today we went to churches. I taught, showed the film and people got saved! Glory to God!

The Lord is really blessing me with an easier time this trip. My team is honest, helpful and caring. We don’t have to wait for hours for people to show up at the churches. Every church has fed us! I’ve been home by dark or earlier each evening. At Phil’s I can have privacy, a real bed, electricity, cold water to drink, and indoor plumbing. Life is much easier than this time last year.

Thank you for your prayers for everything.

We will continue to go to village churches this week, so continue to pray for the saints to be encouraged and equipped. Pray for the salvation of souls. Pray for safety, health and stamina for the team.

You are a blessing to me. You are very much appreciated.

In His Service,
Sandy

Greetings to my sisters and brothers in Christ,

Thank you for your prayers. The generator is working again. Phil spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday getting the parts and repairs done. I couldn’t have gotten it fixed without his help.

I’ve been resting at Phil’s since Sunday. On Thursday, Peter hadn’t scheduled a church for me to go to because of the generator so, Phil took me to Jinja and I was able to do some shopping for my import business. It was good to get out of the house.

Today, Friday was awesome. Ibra drove Ken and me to Isegero Baptist Church built by Servants of the King in 2008 in honor of John Baugh. They have a school at the church too, so when I taught I had the students, teachers and adults, about 200 people. Ken translated for me and about 50 indicated they received Jesus today. Hallelujah!! The church prepared lunch for us of rice, posho, chicken, beans, peanuts and boiled eggs. They also served us sodas. During the film Ibra, Ken and I sat outside on a mat in the shade. It must have been 100 degrees in the church stuffed with about 250 people! We must cover the window openings with fabrics and close the doors to make it dark enough for the people to see the film. Then add to this a tin roof and no power for fans, etc. It was hot but the people stayed and watched Jesus. Glory!

After the film, Pastor Michael led the group in the salvation prayer. Glory to God! He knows how many were saved today. I meet the old man who gave the land for the first church to be built. He said he had been praying for the church for 82 years. What a testimony to one man’s faithfulness to pray for his village to get saved. What a blessing that he lived long enough to see a permanent structure built by Servants of the King. Glory to God! He is faithful!

Many people expressed their appreciation for the teaching, the film, the Bibles and the Books of Hope. The teachers were delighted with the books for their students. Before I left, I was able to teach the kids the cheer and a song.

We reached Phil’s about 8 p.m. and had a good supper of rice and fish soup. I’m tired and dirty but so blessed and happy that I got to take the Gospel of Jesus to this village, school and church today.

Thank you for your prayers. I will continue going to churches in the coming days, so continue to pray for the salvation of souls, the equipping of the saints, the generator to work and for road safety. May God bless you abundantly.

In His Service,
Sandy
